"But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, love, and in steadfastness... likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us."

The prayer today:
Lord, I pray that Mike will speak out on the things that make for solid doctrine. Guide him into a life of temperance, dignity, and wisdom, into healthy faith, love, and endurance. I pray that he lives a disciplined life as he walks in integrity, so that he can be an example to others in his obedience to You. I pray that he would only speak the words You give him to teach, that his teaching would be filled with Your wisdom and Your truth. I pray that You would use him, that the gift of teaching that you have given him would bring many to know You.
