{iPhone Rewind} :: April

We got a new expansion pack for Carcassonne, and everyone was excited to dive in! :)

Maddie and I got to visit the Goat Farm again this year, and we had such a fun time with the sweet babies!

Love spending time with my girl

"Look, Mom. I'm a robot!"

The boys have been making bird feeders at Relay Boys

They have also been LOVING playing Laser Tag at Relay Boys :)

The kids were so helpful and decided to clean up all their bikes/balls/outside toys in the garage! I was so impressed :)

White House crafts in anticipation of our White House tour!

Braiding Maddie's hair

Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's!

Our little fox friend was hanging out in the cul-de-sac again

Aiden was SO excited to get a watch. He asked, and asked, and asked for one...and then he waited, and waited, and waited for it to arrive {all 2 days of Amazon Prime shipping haha}.

Wisdom from Grandma made it to Mike's sermon :)

{iPhone Rewind} :: March

We got another round of snow to kick off the month!

Just a little mid-week Latin :)

A few Alka-Seltzer tabs make for some exciting science :)

My heart is always full when I study the Word with the women of our church. We wrapped up The Way of Wisdom!

Maddie and Aiden finished 2nd Grade Math, and Mommy rejoiced! On to 3rd Grade Math :)

Eli wrote his own short story and shared it with us

March 12th snowfall. Sure, why not?

We served at Generosity Feeds, and this time, we held it at a local elementary school, and we got to bring Grandma along too

Library day is a good day

My little dinner helper :)

Fun flowers :)

Our church hosted a Seder dinner, and it was great to get to walk through it together as a family. Maddie had a part to read during the dinner.

I'm going to miss when they don't sing in church anymore :)

When sweet neighbors drop off vegetables and poetry! :)

Snow Days 2026!

We got our first big snow of the year! We had a couple of days of snow earlier in the season {in December and January}, but nothing has actually stuck. So when we heard that this weather system was coming, we were excited that we might get some good snow days.

On Sunday, we woke up to a few inches of snow, and it continued all day long. But we knew we needed to enjoy it early, because the snow quickly turned to sleet. But also not too early...we had to hold the kids back so the neighbors could sleep haha!

The snow plow came pretty early too, and the kids LOVE that it dumps the cul-de-sac snow right in front of our house. It just means more snow to play in! We spent the morning sledding in the front yard, shoveling it {for fun}, and trying to stay warm.

Proof that Mommy played in the snow for a little bit too ;)

It was fun to have neighbors come over and play, too!

Mike took the kids out sledding at a bigger hill later in the afternoon, so they had their fill of snow for the day. And is tradition, we were able to warm up inside with hot chocolate and a warm fire :)

On Monday, the snow and sleet had stopped, so the kids were able to play out in the snow again! But it also meant we had to spend the day shoveling {the not so fun part of snow}. We are so thankful for our neighbors, as it became a whole cul-de-sac effort to clear driveways and dig out cars.

The temperatures are not supposed to get above freezing until next week sometime, and they are even talking about the possibility of more snow this coming weekend. So this snow/ice is going to stick around for awhile. The kids certainly don't mind...they have been out every day this week, and it is giving them just a little extra motivation to get their schoolwork done, so they can go out and play!

{iPhone Rewind} :: November

Aiden lost another tooth! He was so relieved because he actually swallowed this one {on accident}, but he didn't have to worry about it anymore!

Maddie studies our family calendar all the time. She has progressed to the point of pulling up a chair and taking notes haha.

Playing soccer on a beautiful fall day!

Bedtime reading of The Wingfeather Saga

Maddie asked to take a photo of the beautiful sunset :)

It's comfy weather!

Eli got to pick a prize in Sunday School, and he picked a Butterfinger for Papa. He asked if we could put it in "Papa's stash for when he comes to visit." Sweet boy :)

Science experiments are fun- yay! {except when they don't work- boo!}

We had a game night with some friends from church and the kids were introduced to Carcassonne.

Reading silly stories from Granny :)

We found a praying mantis in our neighbor's yard!

When the Christmas blow-ups reach the rafters, and the Grinch dances and sings...the errands Mom makes you run aren't quite as bad ;)

Diving into the world of The Wingfeather Saga

We celebrated Mike's birthday with fun cards and presents. We ordered pizza for dinner, since we were prepping for Thanksgiving, but you would have thought it was Aiden's birthday ha!
