{Infertility/Embryo Adoption}

"Tears may, and must come, but if they gather in eyes that are constantly looking up to God and heaven, they will glisten with the brightness of the coming glory."
~Susannah Spurgeon

In the Fall of 2012, we decided we were ready to grow our family. Our plans were put on hold when I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, but in the Spring of 2013 we were back on track {or so we thought}.

After a year of trying with no luck, we started the process of finding answers. In August of 2014, we received our final diagnosis of infertility, and we were told we had less than a 1% chance of conceiving on our own. Our only option for a genetic family was IVF with ICSI, but even then the doctors were not confident it would be a successful option for us. Devastated doesn't seem to adequately describe the weight and the heartache we felt at that time.

Through our research on fertility options and the Lord's leading, we were introduced to the beautiful option of Embryo Adoption. This wasn't an easy road, and we had to say goodbye to 6 little ones before we even got to meet them. But we are thankful that our precious ones are no longer frozen and are now resting in the arms of their Creator.

The Lord led us to another precious donor family, and we welcomed our first 2 snowflake babies in November of 2016! They are our rainbow babies, the beauty of God's faithfulness after the storm. They are such a joy, and we are continually in awe of the blessings they are to us!

We transferred another embryo in November 2017, but unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to that sweet little one. We tried again with our last embryo, and we welcomed our third snowflake baby in August of 2018!

We believe life begins at conception and that each tiny embryo is a unique life created by our heavenly Father. Our journey to building a family led us to adopt these precious ones and give them the best possible chance at life. We are so thankful for the genetic families who trusted us with the care of their embryos, and we will forever be grateful to them for their generous gift.
