{iPhone Rewind} :: January

January started with a little bit of rain, but warmer temps, so we took advantage and explored some of the trails in our neighborhood!

Finally got a photo in our {Christmas} matching family pajamas! But the hot chocolate jammmies work in January too :)

I finally got my wisdom teeth out! I was supposed to have them out in March 2020, but I'm glad to finally have it done and out of the way. Definitely recommend doing this in your 20s, and NOT when you're an old, tired mom of 3 haha!

This kid is constantly on-the-go. But every now and then, he'll take his blanket, pillow, and Pooh Bear and take a rest. It may only last about 40 seconds, but it's pretty cute :)

When I ask him to smile...

We got to attend a friend's birthday party, and it might have been the best day of the kids' life haha

I wonder how long before he stops snuggling with me...these days are flying by too fast.

I remember a day in the not so distant past when clipping nails was NOT calm and peaceful...thankful that this task is much easier now.

Recovery from my wisdom teeth removal was rough...so I was thankful for these beautiful, "I love you and I'm sorry your mouth hurts" flowers :)

Eli and Maddie dancing to Aiden's trombone playing haha

This friendly guy comes to visit pretty often and the kids think he's pretty fun

Apparently we have entered the destructive phase of a curious, active 4-year-old boy...

Just a little {light} pre-dinner reading...

Eli: Aiden, sing while Maddie and me dance :)

It's a good thing he's cute...

Out on a walk in the neighborhood!

We got to help pack meals for kids in our community. The kids did GREAT, and we look forward to doing more serving together as a family in the future!

New bear!

New monkey!

We took another trip to Udvar-Hazy, and we were finally able to go up on the Observation Tower!

A Fun Week with Grandma and Papa!

Earlier this month, we got to spend a fun week with Grandma and Papa! They came to help with unpacking and settling into the house {which was SO helpful!}, but there was still time to do some fun things throughout the week :)

The weather was pretty decent, so we were able to spend some time outside. The kids got it in their heads that they wanted to "race" Grandma and Papa, so there were a few competitions during the week.

We also got to take Grandma and Papa to Frying Pan Farm Park to see the animals. The kids always enjoy walking around the farm, and it's closer to our new house, so we will probably spend a lot of time here in the spring.

More racing...

And of course, we had to share our new neighborhood park with them! This is within walking distance of our house, so we are here a lot. It was fun to share it with Grandma and Papa. We also have really great trails throughout the neighborhood...no lack of outdoor exploration :)

My dad was really helpful in getting a few things put up around the house {shelves, towel holders, etc}. He also helped me and Mike clear out the basement utility room, which required a couple of trips to the county dump. Not super glamorous, but thankful for the time with him! :)

One fun thing that the girls got to do was go get manis/pedis! It was a gift from my Dad and Mike for Christmas, and it was such a sweet, fun time. Maddie was beyond excited to go...she was literally bouncing on the way in the door haha. She LOVED every minute of the whole experience, and my mom and I loved experiencing it with her.

She looks so grown up!

Pinks sparkles for the win!

And then I got my wisdom teeth out and was a bit out of it for the remainder of their time, but the kids were glad to spend it with Grandma and Papa. Lots of games, books, building, and reading.

The week went by way too fast, and we can't wait until our next time to spend with them!
