In December 2012, I was diagnosed with an Inflammatory Bowel Disease {IBD} known as Crohn's Disease. It is an auto-immune disease that has no cure. It has been a long journey to figuring out life with Crohn's, but I am thankful for the love and support of family and friends.
I remember when I was first diagnosed, how scared I was and how much I just wanted to understand this disease and what it would mean for my life. I found comfort in hearing others' stories, knowing that I was not alone, and that there are many others fighting this incurable disease with strength and joy.
Since it is such a big part of my life, I blog about it sometimes here. Part of doing that is a record for me, but I also hope that I can be of some help and encouragement to others. My Crohn's Disease reminds me of the brokenness of this world, but it keeps me dependent on my Savior.
