A Day at the Salon

Today I had a hair trial appointment for the wedding with my aunt. My aunt has been cutting and styling my hair for most of my life, and I have never found anyone who even comes close to her skills. The few times I have branched out (mainly out of necessity, considering that my aunt lives in San Antonio, and I have lived elsewhere for the better part of 7 years), I have just been disappointed. Maybe it's just the familiarity. But most likely it's that she's that talented. So when my aunt said she could do my hair for the wedding, I was excited (and relieved!)
So today was a fun day at the salon with my mom and my aunt. Sorry, no posting of the bridal 'do...but here are some other fun pics from the day :)

We had fun today, and I am SUPER excited about how my hair turned out. It's exactly how I pictured it, and I can't wait to complete the look with the dress! ;)

Mike in Mexico
Mike left today on the Senior High Mission Trip to Mexico. He took a group of students and leaders to The Mexican Indian Training Center in Cordoba, Mexico. Please pray for the group as they travel; pray for safety and good health, and pray for those they will be serving to be loved and blessed through the team. This is the first trip for all of the students, so please pray that the Lord draws them each closer to His heart and grows their faith and desire to serve Christ. Pray for the gospel to take root in people's hearts, and above all else, pray for the Lord to be honored throughout the trip. This is a trip Mike went on as a high school student, and has been leading for several years as a leader. This will be his last trip as a staff member of Woodcreek, so please pray that it is a sweet time of memories for him. If you'd like to follow the team's updates throughout the week, you can check those out here.

Oh and....

days until we get married! :)
