The One Who Saves

I know I have been posting a lot of song lyrics lately...but the Lord has really been speaking to my heart via music. I go through these phases where music seems like the best way for me to connect with the heart of my Savior. It's certainly not (nor should be) the only way, but it is a good way.

There is something sweet about waking up in the morning with a praise on your heart. It gives me comfort throughout my day, and in a lot of ways keeps me focused. Not on the tasks I have to complete, but on the One for whom I do the tasks. It helps keep my eyes fixed on Him, instead of my all-too-often tendency of fixing my eyes on myself.

And it's just good for me to affirm these truths and lift them up as praises.
