Summer Bucket List :: Bubbles + Sidewalk Chalk

This has been a good morning activity! We head out just after breakfast, so it's not too hot yet, and we sit out on the front porch so we're in the shade. I have used it on more than one occasion as a distraction, mostly when we're having a rough start to the day. Sometimes it helps us to reset, sometimes it doesn't. But either way, Eli and Maddie at least enjoy themselves while we're playing :)

We have enjoyed more time with our bubble mowers, but I also decided to just have some extra bubbles on hand to enjoy the old fashioned way. I found this fun handheld blower at Walmart, and it's nice to just press the button to create the bubbles {read: easy for the preggo mama who is more and more out of breath these days haha}.

Eli and Maddie think "bubbas" are SO funny. They don't quite have the blowing of the bubbles part down, but they sure do like watching and chasing them :)

They're still trying to figure out sidewalk chalk. They definitely enjoy pulling out the chalk and putting it back in the box more than actually drawing with the chalk, but they are slowly starting to get the hang of it.

It's definitely not a clean activity, and we head inside covered from head to toe in chalk...but it's still a fun summertime activity :)
