A co-worker mentioned to Mike that the Dallas Area Train Show would be at the Plano Event Center this weekend, so we decided to go check it out! Eli and Maddie have a book about trains that they absolutely love to read {over and over again}, so we thought they might enjoy actually seeing some model trains. Other than the frigid temperatures and crazy wind outside, it was a fun day out as a family!
Eli loved seeing the trains!
Granny came along to enjoy the train fun too!
Those hats haha
Despite his face in this photo, little man had a fun time too! I don't know how much of the actual trains he could see or even liked, but he loved riding around in the stroller with his big brother and big sister!
The exhibits were actually pretty fun! The only downside was that most of the train sets were up on platforms that were pretty high up, which was hard for our little ones to see. We look forward to taking them in the future, when they are older and can get out of the stroller and walk around a bit more. And {honestly} we were surprised at how many people were there to see the model trains. There were definitely families, but mostly a lot of older gentlemen who just have a love for model trains. It was cute to see the grandpas in their vintage engineer train hats :)
