Aiden's Transferversary

One year ago, we transferred our precious baby Aiden. He had been frozen for 8 years and 9 months...but was created on the same day as Eli and Maddie. This was actually our very last transfer, which made it such a big day for us. It was our last try for a sibling, a last try for a pregnancy, the end to a long journey toward building our family.

He was our last little embryo, and he thawed really well! He actually looked better at the time of transfer than the grade he received at the time of freezing. And when we received our high beta number 10 days later, we were so excited that he had snuggled in tight :)

I have mentioned this before with Eli and Maddie, but one of the things I love most about the process of Embryo Adoption is that we have a photo of our babies at one of their earliest stages of development. That tiny, multi-cell embryo was our precious Aiden. One year ago, he was frozen, and now he is just over 3 months old.

I am so thankful for Embryo Adoption and how it gave me the opportunity to experience pregnancy, not just once, but twice. Not just with twins, but with a singleton. Praise God, the Author of Life.
