Trucks and Tutus!

Yesterday, we celebrated Eli and Maddie's 5th birthday with a fun Trucks and Tutus party! It was just our family, but we ran with the joint theme to make a fun day celebrating our favorite twins. I love that they are still at an age when fun decorations and simple birthday fun is super exciting for them!

We love cookies from Aunt Lindsay!

Good Morning to the birthday kids!

We're so thankful for family {and friends!} who makes the day special, even from hundreds of miles away!

It ended up being a cold and rainy day, so we weren't able to go out and do anything, but it ended up being perfect, because the kiddos just enjoyed the day playing with all their new birthday gifts!

Maddie spent the day changing in and out of her tutu and her new princess dress...she probably changed 15 times haha.

Potato Heads were a crowd favorite!

"Mommy, can I use my colored pencils and stamps while Mrs. Potato Head watches?"

Eli got to build a fun model airplane with Daddy

So proud of his new airplane!

This little guy struggled a little bit watching Eli and Maddie open gifts, without having his own. But he felt a little better when he got to play with some of the fun new toys...and he even tried to sneak a try-on of Maddie's tutu :)

We were able to enjoy birthday cake and cookies in our garage with our neighbor friend K. The kiddos loved getting to play, share their birthday cake, and talk about their birthday with their sweet friend.

Mini cakes for the win!

It was a fun day celebrating our 5 year olds, and we are so thankful for the time spent together as a family. I cannot help but think back, even 6-7 years ago, when we weren't sure if we would get to have fun days like these. So I am just overjoyed at my baby loves turning 5, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for sweet family celebrations like these ones. Thank you, Jesus, for such sweet gifts!
