{iPhone Rewind} :: July

We had some thunderstorms during nap time, and Eli was not having it. So I brought him downstairs with me to nap on the couch...cutie boy.

Eli had another check up for his eyes. He does so good waiting patiently for his turn :)

And then he chose Chick Fil A for lunch :)

Aiden hit his 700 book milestone!

Our LEGO towers are starting to get more elaborate :)

Snuggles with Mommy and Pooh Bear...the obsession is real.

How fun are these coasters?? I got this fun set for Mike's office for our anniversary. It's some of the key places in our relationship {where we met, where we had our first date, where we got married, where we honeymooned}, and I just thought this Etsy shop did such a fantastic job!

And speaking of anniversary gifts...clearly, we had a mismatch in our gift sizing LOL {Mike got me a photo canvas for our wall, which I love!} To be fair, the second part of my gift to him arrived late, so there was a little bit more coming :)

Silly girl :)

"Look Mommy! I'm feeding Pooh a bottle!"

I just can't get enough Aiden snuggles...

Laura sent us this sweet anniversary gift! I played the song for the kids and they were not impressed haha...but I love having this memory!

National French Fry Day!

The little zinnia flower that we grew! The plant itself is just super tall, and this little bud accidentally broke off, so we got to enjoy it in a tiny vase.

Daddy went on a trip, so that meant we skipped baths and snuggled up in Mommy's bed for extra reading time before bed!

Mike got a chance to spend a few days in New Mexico with friends and mentors. So thankful for each of these men and the role they have played in Mike's life.

"Mommy, will you take a picture of my tower?"

So this happened...queue all the Mama tears for no more babies

National Hot Dog Day!

New haul of books from the library = a quiet afternoon

When your company sends you an e-gift card to enjoy on ice cream from Sonic, you make the 20 minute drive for that fun treat :)

Grandma and Papa got everyone personalized trucks, but weren't able to find Maddie's name. So Mommy added her name using my Silhouette Cameo, and she was a pretty happy girl :)

Maddie had her 3-month check up after she started wearing her glasses again, and she did so well! The doctor was SO pleased with how much better her eyes were doing, so she will get to patch less. Cutie pink glasses for the win!

Grandma and Papa Fun!

Grandma came in last week to visit! Mike was out of town, so it was nice to have some extra help with the kiddos while he was away. And when Grandma is in town, ALL the fun stuff happens: LEGOS and animals and tracks and cars/trucks and games and coloring and books! :)

Papa joined us over the weekend, while Mike and I snuck away for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. To say they had a blast with both Grandma and Papa was an understatement! When Mike and I got back from our trip, we had a couple of extra days with my parents, and we packed in even more fun things before they left. We spent one hot afternoon with some water sprayers and beach balls, and you would have thought we had taken the kids to Disney World :)  They had SO much fun! It took a little bit for them to get the hang of how to fill and work them, but once they got the hang of it, the giggles just didn't stop. Of course, it's super fun to get Grandma and Papa and Mommy and Daddy wet!

On their last full day here, we headed out to Great Country Farms in Bluemont, Virginia. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I have to say that I was totally blown away at how much there was to do there! There were multiple playscapes, farm animals, tractors, a ninja challenge course, tunnels, and so much more we didn't even get to see/do. And since we went in the middle of the week, we had a lot of the place to ourselves for a lot of the time.

Maddie has become my little adventurer, having no fear in climbing high and trying new things. It has been so fun to watch her, as she used to be so timid and shy in her outdoor play. Now, she just goes for it, and wants to try it all!

There was an overabundance of tractors and trucks and various structures to climb, and the kids had an absolute blast. It really was a fun place, and we definitely want to go back!

Our favorite small-town ice cream shop was just around the corner from the farm, so of course we HAD to stop and enjoy some ice cream before heading back :)

And then on their last day, we took Grandma back and introduced Papa to our library's outdoor story time. It was fun to see Grandma and Papa sing and dance with the kiddos, and, of course, the kids thought that was just so fun :)

We had such a fun week with Grandma and Papa, and there have already been quite a few little crocodile tears in saying goodbye. But we are so thankful for the sweet, extended time with them, just being able to share our life here with them. And we are really looking forward to their next visit!
