30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 30} :: Proverbs 31:10-12

"An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life."

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that Mike's heart can always trust in me, never doubting my love for him and never regretting his love for me. I pray that I can be an excellent wife for him. I pray that I will always do him good, always treating him generously, with honor and respect.

And I pray that I can live my wedding vows everyday...that I am Mike's constant friend and love. That I am his faithful partner, in sickness and in health, in plenty and in want, in times of joy and sorrow. That I would love him unconditionally, always encourage and support him, and that I would submit to him as Your church submits to You. Father after You, my hand, my heart, and my love are his, and I pray that he would always know that, every day of the rest of our lives.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 29} :: Psalm 5:11-12

"But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield."

The prayer today:

Father, I pray that You would surround Mike with favor, like a shield. I pray that You would be his refuge, and that You would place a covering of protection over him. I pray that when he feels discouraged or overwhelmed that he would run to You.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 28} :: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

Today's prayer:

Lord, I pray that Mike is known as a man of prayer. I pray that he pursues purposeful time with You. I pray that You would fill his heart with joy, and that he can always thank You no matter what happens.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 27} :: Hebrews 13:5

"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you or forsake you.' "

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that Mike would handle finances wisely, that he would be a good steward of the resources You provide, both in our home and with the church. I pray that money would never be a source of discord in our family, and that he would always trust You to provide for all of our needs. Remind him that You will never let him down, or walk off and leave him.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 26} :: Hebrews 13:4

"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous."

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that everything about our marriage would honor You. I pray that Mike would safeguard the sacredness of our intimacy, that his heart would be pure and undivided in his commitment to me. And I pray that he would be faithful to his wedding vows, that he would desire to grow and improve our relationship.

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that Mike can set an example for and love the people You have entrusted to his care. You have placed Your people under his care as a leader to the church, and I pray that he would diligently seek to guard and protect them.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 24} :: Psalm 19:14

 

 

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord my rock and my redeemer."

Today's prayer:

Lord, I pray that Mike's words and motives would be pleasing to You. I pray that his thoughts and prayers would align with Yours, that he would dwell only on things of You. And I pray that You would be his Rock and his Redeemer, that he would never falter in his faith in You.

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray for Mike's spiritual growth. I pray that You would guard his heart by urging him to develop and maintain spiritual discplines- reading and studying Your Word diligently, spending time in intimate prayer with You, meditating on Your truths, memorizing and cherishing Your Word, giving generously, spending time in solitude before Your throne. I pray that he would grow in grace and understanding of Jesus as he seeks You.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 22} :: Ephesians 1:17-19

"...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope, to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might."

Today's prayer:

Lord, I pray that You would open Mike's ears to hear Your voice, his eyes to see Your guidance. I pray that You would give him a spirit of wisdom and understanding of who You are. I pray that You would make him intelligent and discerning in knowing You personally. I pray that You would help him stay focused and clear, able to see exactly what it is that You are calling him to do. And I pray that he can grasp the immensity of Your glorious ways and the extravagance of Your work in him as he trusts You.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 21} :: 1 Corithians 12:4-7

 

 

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good."

The prayer today:

Lord, I pray that the spirtitual gifts that You have granted to Mike would be made manifest in his ministry and in our home. I pray that he can surrender his time and talents to You, and that he would use each to Your glory. Father, use him to advance Your Kingdom and introduce people to Jesus.

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that You would surround Mike with godly men, that he would choose godly and wise friends. I pray that You would bring men into his life who will encourage him and keep him accountable before You.

"For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps."

Today's prayer:

Lord, I pray that Mike patterns his life after Jesus and strong men of the faith. I pray that he can "suffer well," knowing that Your Son suffered everything that came His way, so that we would know it could be done. I pray that he would follow in Your steps, knowing that he is living the life You have invited him into with Your Son.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight."

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that Mike's relationship with You would bear fruit in his life. I pray that he would be a man of wisdom and understanding, fearing You. And I pray that his insight and understanding would come only from a deeper knowledge of who You are and who You have created him to be.

"Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them."

Today's prayer:

Lord, I pray that, after You, I can put Mike first. I pray that I can honor and respect him, and that I am always a source of encouragement for him. I pray that I can support him by submitting to him in ways that honor You. I pray that Mike will love me well as he protects and provides for me, and I pray that he would cherish me.

The prayer for today:

Father, I pray that Mike would love in a way that is uncontaminated by self-interest and counterfeit faith. I pray that his testimony would be genuine, that he would be honest in everything he says and does, and that he would not do anything that he needs to hide from others. Cultivate a strong integrity in him, that he would never compromise his convictions.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 15} :: Isaiah 40:30-31

 

"Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not be faint."

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that You would energize Mike when he gets tired, that You would provide fresh strength when he feels weary. I pray that You would provide him new insight and inspiration to do his work faithfully for You.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 14} :: Proverbs 15:31-33



"The ear that listens to life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise. Whoever ignores instruction despises himself, but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence. The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility comes before honor."

 Today's prayer:

Lord, I pray that Mike has a humble, teachable spirit and a servant's heart before You. I pray that he listens to You and desires to do Your will. I pray that he would listen to good, godly advice and that he would live an obedient, God-centered life. I pray that he would fear You, first learning humility and then experiencing Your glory.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 13} :: Ephesians 5:25-29

"Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way, husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church."

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that Mike grows in his leadership in our relationship, that he will protect and provide for me and our family. I pray that he will lead wisely and love me well, so that You are glorified in our marriage. I pray that our love for each other would be marked by giving, not getting. I pray that his love for me is a picture of Christ's love for the church: that he loves me sacrificially, in a way that makes me whole, and that his words and actions bring out the best in me.

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."

Today's prayer:

Father, I pray that Mike would obey You from his heart, and that he would glorify You in everything he says and does. I pray that he would serve You and the people You place around him with pure motives. And I pray that he can always keep in mind that he is ultimately serving Jesus.

30 Days, 30 Verses {Day 11} :: Song of Solomon 7:10

The prayer today {yes, we're praying about sex}:

Lord, I pray that, when it comes to our marriage and our love, I am all Mike wants, and that I am the world to him. I pray that our intimacy stays fresh and positive, always a reflection of selfless love.
