After my brother's wedding, we packed up and moved over to Mike's parents' house for our second round of family festivities. This August, Granny & Grumpz are celebrating their 50th Anniversary! They were kind enough to move up their celebration to coincide with the timing of our trip, so we got to spend 2 days celebrating with the McCullough side of the family. All Granny and Grumpz wanted was to have all of their kids and grandkids together in one place.
On Sunday, we headed over to Lindsay's house to swim and eat dinner. They recently built a new pool, so we got to enjoy that, and just spending time with cousins. The kids had a blast and exhausted themselves by swimming all afternoon :)
On Monday, we headed to Rolling Hills Park in Allen. Mike's grandparents used to have a farm on the land, and when Mike and I were first married, I visited their home that used to be on the land where the park now sits. Granny wanted to take her grandkids to play where she used to play as a child. Afterward, we went to lunch, and then everyone went back to Granny's house to play.
It was another whirlwind time with family, but we are so grateful we got to celebrate with everyone. Happy 50th Anniversary to Granny and Grumpz!
