{iPhone Rewind} :: June

We kicked off June by making homemade pizzas!

Since our women's Bible study is taking a break over the summer, I am doing a Bible study with one of the other pastor's wives and another member at the church. We're studying 1 and 2 Peter, and I am really looking forward to digging deeper with these ladies!

Aiden's yogurt mustache...which he insisted he didn't have :)

Someone donated a Richard Scarry book, and this boy literally sat and read through it for over an hour, carefully pouring over the pictures. I need to find more of these books!

A slow morning reading some new books

National Chocolate Ice Cream Day!

Sending air hugs to Grandma :)

Making strawberry muffins from our haul

"Hey Mommy, we want to do a dinosaur show!"

Breakfast with Daddy

Summer means homemade popsicles!

He wants to be close and snuggling all the time...and I'm 100% here for it. Every time.

Aiden has read 600 {unique} books!

Mike worked hard to lead the design team in creating a new, fresh logo!

Eli would rather read than dance...and that's perfectly ok #imwithyoubuddy

They were SO excited to work on a fun project for Father's Day!

We definitely have some warm days, but it's nice to have non-scorching hot weather in the middle of June!

We have green and orange habanero peppers growing! They're still pretty tiny, so we'll see if they get big enough to actually eat.

We celebrated Daddy with a homemade banner, breakfast tacos, and a hot and spicy Man Crate. He sure is the BEST daddy :)

We got a few zinnia flowers too!

Silly girl with her monkeys :)

Cutie Boy :)

First Book Club meeting of the summer! I'm so thankful for this sweet group of women.

We got to visit the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly with some friends! The kids did great, and Eli was just so interested in all the planes, what they did, how they flew, etc. Maddie was super patient, quietly observing her new friends, and Aiden did well just to keep his mask on :)

Uncle Michael Comes to Visit

We got to spend the past week with Uncle Michael!

In our house, he basically achieved rockstar status the moment he arrived. All the kids were constantly competing for his attention, just wanting to soak up as much Uncle Michael time as they could. We got to enjoy some fun D.C. adventures {National Zoo and National Mall}, but we also got to enjoy time around home just playing!

Watching basketball with Uncle Michael

We got to show Uncle Michael our water table {which the kiddos were really excited to show him}, and then they played some basketball with him. That mostly consisted of Uncle Michael blocking shots and the kiddos giggling uncontrollably :)

On Tuesday, it rained all day, so it was a good time to hang home. The kiddos enjoyed all-day fun with Uncle Michael, including keeping him captive to reading books, dressing up, watching a movie, and playing games!

On Uncle Michael's last full day, we made the scenic drive out on the Snickersville Turnpike to get ice cream at the Bluemont General Store. It was a good way to show Michael the beautiful countryside, and the kids were just excited to eat ice cream!

We took an evening walk around the neighborhood to show Uncle Michael around and wrap up a super fun week together. Of course, Aiden was right there next to Uncle Michael, his permanent walking buddy :)

And every night, Uncle Michael read our Bible story :)

We had such a fun week with Uncle Michael! The kiddos were sad to see him go, but we are so glad he was able to come visit. We look forward to him coming back to Virginia :)
